I am very proud of our boys. Our warrior poets fought with valor and went into the breach, much like the Charge of the Light Brigade.
Our fallen comrade Joshua Nesbitt; hero, martyr, statesman and friend, you shall be missed. As you have delivered us from the shadow of the Valley of Gailey, crushed the rule of the drooling neighbors, and you will be remembered from here forth with toasts to your throne in Elysium. Hero-king-martyr.
The dawning of the new age has now occurred. With new blood taking up where old has left off, our new band of bretheren takes up the fight. Showing their heart and resilience. The prize is a shining city on the horizon. The journey is long and hard, but the path is well lit, and we have the leadership to get there.
I am very proud. These boys now men have proven themselves of exceptional character.
I don't know how many pings this will get, but I feel very good about the state of the program. I think this year was a year of transition between Gaileys talent getting by in a system, to Johnsons guys that were recruited for the system starting to get some traction. We were very fortunate to have the talent that we did, but it was not custom made for the offense. The league championship was by no means a fluke, but we were very fortunate that the cupboard wasn't bare when Gailey left. With Johnsons genius and these kids hearts and talent, we put together a championship run. Now, we are starting to get some depth in the system, and can go a couple deep at the skill positions. The line (as always) will be a work in progress, but is indeed making progress.
In a nutshell, I can clearly see what this program is and where it is going. Not so much for other programs.

To abide...To be aficionados. To not only enjoy, but to understand, Georgia Tech football, the ACC, and College Football, in that order. The trained palate perceives more, and thus enjoys more, than the ignorant palate.
Hash Slinger & Frank Lloyd Wrong are two ardent Georgia Tech fans, hedonists, & men of questionable virtue. They live in Atlanta & their work can be found not only on this blog but also in prison cells & bathroom walls throughout our fine nation. Much like The Dude, who they greatly admire, Hash & Frank abide....
