Wednesday News & Notes.....

We just read that it's 206 days until the season opener a South Carolina State. And it made us want to punch ourselves in the groin. 206 days......We shall, as all of you, endure. Some things on our radar:
  • Spring practice is set to begin on March 29th. The T-Day game will be April 24th. We will post a practice schedule when it is released. Ahhh, spring practice, the Cinemax of college football. Of course we'd rather watch the hard-core stuff, but when that's not available Skinemax will have to do. We're not complaining, mind you.....
  • Derrick Morgan is writing a draft diary for the Sporting News. You can find it here. That whole submerge yourself in ice routine doesn't really sound so great....
  • Drew Bullard, a linebacker from Union Grove High School outside of Atlanta, will enroll at Tech in the Fall as a preferred walk-on. Welcome to the Flats, sir....
  • What do coaches think about recruiting rankings? Well, not too much, according to these quotes. An interesting cross section of coaches here. We particularly like the Sabanator speaking directly to his constituents in a language they will understand; the hunting dog metaphor. It follows that players who under-perform would be cars on blocks in the front yard. This could get interesting....
Stay tuned for the Class of 2005 breakdown.....
