It's 3am & I wanna go to bed...

Can we do it?

November 17, 1962. That's the last time we beat a top 5 opponent at Historic Grant Field. Notice there was no Bobby Dodd Stadium as Mr. Dodd was busy coaching the Jackets to an historic 7-6 victory over Bear Bryant that afternoon (Howard Schnellenberger & Gene Stallings were also on the Bama staff). Bama entered a heavy favorite led by Joe Namath & Lee Roy Jordan but it was the Jackets, led by Billy Lothridge, Bill Curry, & George Morris (according to Dodd the finest player he ever coached, & that's saying something) who ruined Bama's national championship hopes with a victory on the Flats. Been a long time coming....In fact, a victory today would send us to 6-1 for the second consecutive season, the first time we've started 6-1 in back-to-back year's since 1955-56. Here's to making history today...

  2. Was an amazing night of football... Not the absolute best I've ever seen, but enough to solidify our upward motion in both the conference and the nation... I hope some recruits were there. Waiting with bated breath for the game analysis...
