LIES I TELL YOU! ALL LIES!!

For those who think Tech won’t be able to recruit wide receivers we’d like to present exhibit A, Bay-Bay Thomas. Per the AJC, the 6’3” 229 pound Junior is 15th in the country IN yards receiving per game. Tech may only throw the ball 15 to 20 times a game but with only two wide receivers each starter sees plenty of passes come his way. In fact as a run based offense with only two true wide receivers on the roster Tech only needs 3 to 4 legitimate receivers on the roster at any one time. Compare that to a team like Texas Tech that goes four wide all the time. Because they are so pass heavy they need two to three times the wide receivers Tech does. So is it easier to find one wide receiver recruit a year or three?
