Morgan ACC Defensive Player of the Year....

We opined in this very space earlier this year that Derrick Morgan is the finest defensive player we've ever seen in person at Georgia Tech.  That starts around 1985 & includes some great players like Marco Coleman, the brothers Swilling, & Keith Brooking.  Obviously a few folks agree as today he was named ACC defensive player of the year.  It's nice when those who supposedly know more than we do get it right.  Hell, Dabo said he was Tech's best player last year!  High praise indeed.  Always attacking on the field - quiet & respectful off it, Morgan represents the Institute extraordinarily well.  We congratulate him on the well deserved award & look forward to buying a second NFL jersey to hang by Calvin's in the closet....
On the offensive side of the ball, CJ Spiller of Clemson garnered ACC player of the year & offensive player of the year.  No qualms here.  Of note is that Josh Nesbitt finished second to Spiller in both categories.  We know where he'll end up next year....
