Tuesday grab bag.....

Things kicking around in the ol' noodle this a.m.:
  • The academic saga at F$U continues.  This is tragic in so many ways.  It's just an abomination a school is allowed to get away with things like this.  Smacks of Dexter Manley at Oklahoma State & Jan Kemp.  This all stems from a bigger scandal that involved nine FSU teams involved in online cheating.  The penalties received by F$U are laughable.  The NCAA really is a joke....
  • Charlie Weis was frequent target of ours & even though he out of football we refuse to let up.  A bit of humor for those in need of a smile this morning.....If it wasn't Notre Lame we might even give them a few bucks....
  • Delusional Mutt fans can cross another defensive coordinator off of their wish list.  VPISU's Bud Foster received a new five year contract & will be staying in Blacksburg.  $500K large goes a long way up in them ass-backward hills, we're old.  No way he even considered taking the job at U(sic)GA.  Simply leverage well used by Mr. Foster.  We are curious why Foster is not a head coach somewhere.  He's got the resume & record to be one.  What skeletons lurk in that backwoods Virginia closet?  We're sure the Mutts will now turn their efforts to Bill Belichek because why coach Tom Brady & the Patriots when you can work for Mark Richt & live in Athens?  Without question this postulate is being explored in a lecture hall in Athens as we speak.....
  • DT Mike Thornton, a potential Tech recruit who we wrote about yesterday, cancelled his scheduled visit to the Flats this weekend.  Best of luck wherever you land, sir....
  • Iowa blog Black Heart, Gold Pants has a great piece today on CB Amari Spievey.  This will be a key match-up in the bowl game for us.  Spievey is a very good & very physical corner.  Our ability to block him will determine a lot in this game.  We'll have lots of breakdowns for you as the game gets closer....
  • We pride ourselves on being men of our word.  Robert Parker of Centreville, Alabama is just such a man.  This is exactly why we never bet on Tech.  Period.  No exceptions.  That had to be a long afternoon....
Your fortitude does all Auburn fans credit, sir....

  1. Not on topic, but somewhat relevant and a very big (and good) idea:

    Big 1eleven0 expansion

I do like the idea of leaving ND out in the cold... Screw 'em!
